HARRI on vocals with
NICK DAWSON-
Nick Dawson - a brilliant young singer /pianist - a
graduate from the Royal College of Music - has been a lifelong devotee of
the Sinatra magic.
BBC Radio presenter, John Richards said, “He sounds like
a young Sinatra”.
High praise indeed!
Nick, however, realised that to clone his hero would be
counterproductive and he has succeeded in carving his own niche in the music
world. While he takes Sinatra’s timing and phrasing as his inspiration, the
result is pure Nick Dawson - and that is something worth hearing.
Most artistes offer excellence in one only area – and as a vocalist, Nick is
first class. But as a jazz pianist he is second to none, possessing a
phenomenal technique, inspired by such legendary figures as Nat King Cole,
Duke Ellington and Oscar Peterson.
DEREK NASH- Lead Tenor Saxophonist for the Jools Holland Band, Band
leader of Sax Appeal, Tenor Madness, and Protect the Beat.
JEFF CLYNE- He has accompanied singers Blossom Dearie, Marion
Montgomery, Annie Ross and Norma Winstone, and worked with many US
musicians, including Lucky Thompson, Zoot Sims, Phil Woods, Jim Hall,
Lockjaw Davis, Taj Farlow, and with the Belgian, Toots Thielemans.

WEDDING FAYRE AT THE WARREN LODGE HOTEL!

HARRI on
vocals with:
PETE LONG-Saxophonist- Pete was recently involved in live and
studio work with Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, the
BBC Radio Big Band, arranging for and directing the poll-winning
9;20 De-Luxe. 10-piece swing band and re-creating the music of
Dizzy Gillespie in quintet and big band formats. In the course of
playing with Jools, Pete has worked with a diversity of popular icons
from Vinnie Jones to Lionel Richie and The Blind Boys
Of Alabama to Sting. Working with Jools Holland has
also enabled Pete to arrange music for Sir Paul McCartney,
Chrissie Hinde, Jane Horrocks, Ray Davies and the unique talents of
Marianne Faithfull! The famous oboe intro on "Handbags and
Gladrags" by the Stereophonics is also Pete’s work, and a
recent high was playing solo baritone saxophone in Dr John’s UK
band.
In his spare time, he makes Airfix planes in his garden shed and is
restoring an old Karmann Ghia.
JOHN PEARCE- Pianist - UK's top jazz accompanist to
int'l artists and pianist for the James Last Orchestra for 23 years.
LEN SKEAT- Has performed with Billy Eckstine, Scott Hamilton, Lou Rawls,
Ben Webster, Harry Edison, "Lockjaw"Davis, Peggy Lee, Lionel Hampton to
name just a few |
