Harriet Coleman Trio
Harriet Coleman
(New York Jazz Vocalist) started her singing career in New York with bands all
over the state from the clubs in Greenwich Village to the Catskill resorts.
Since coming to the UK she has sung with the London Philharmonic Choir at the
Albert Hall under the direction of Daniel Barenboim , and featured numerous
times at the famous Pizza on the Park in London.Harri has appeared several times
at Pizza on the Park, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and many other jazz venues.
She has sung with many of the jazz greats including Jamie Cullum, Dick
Morrissey, Derek Nash (lead tenor sax with the Jools Holland Band) who is also
on Harri’s albums, and musicians from the BBC Radio Big Band, Humphrey Littleton
Band, Jools Holland Band, Georgie Fame Band, Johnny Dankworth/Cleo Laine Band,
TV, Stage, the Jazz circuit, Films and Int’l Festivals .Her CD’s have featured
on Jazz FM and Smooth FM by the recently departed Campbell Burnap with whom
Harri worked on several occasions.

(Piano/Vocalist) led top class bands for many years on the famed Mayfair
nightclub circuit and as pianist, has accompanied many famous cabaret artists
including Leo Sayer, Marti Caine. Whilst considered by the jazz fraternity to be
the very best function band piano/vocalist in the UK, he is also a noted
composer and lyricist counting amongst his many creations the brilliant theme
for the Jimmy Young Show.
John Day
Started on guitar, touring U.K and Europe with various rhythm and blues bands.
Switched to bass in 1993, freelancing in a wide range of Jazz settings. Joined
Dick Laurie’s band in 1995 (until 2000), Blue Harlem (1995 to present).Season
with Dick Sudhalter and Barbara Lea (2003), regular member of Clare Teal Band,
Jimmy Hastings Quartet and Karen Sharp Quartet/Quintet. Influences(on Bass) The
whole tradition of four-in-the-bar swingers from Pops Foster to Christian
McBride with a special mention for Ray Brown, Mingus and the criminally
neglected Israel Crosby. More broadly, anyone who sings and plays the blues.

One of UK's leading jazz musicians Ron's musical history includes many years
playing with British and International with the Alex Welsh Big Band,
Kenny Ball, George Chisolm, The Eddie Condon Club in New York, the Newport Jazz
Festival in R.I. USA, and 4 years with the Georgie Fame Band,
George Melly, and Terry Jenkins' Swing Era Band which included Jazz FM's
Campbell Burnap. PHIL PHILLIPS -
Keyboard/Vocalist led top class bands for many years on the famed Mayfair
nightclub circuit and as pianist, has accompanied many famous cabaret artists
including Leo Sayer, Marti Caine. Whilst considered by the jazz fraternity to be
the very best function band piano/vocalist in the UK, he is also a noted
composer and lyricist counting amongst his many creations the brilliant theme
for the Jimmy Young Show. Known as Mr. Showbiz he has entertained at numberous
show biz parties including the awards parties.
ANDRE MESSEDER - Double-bass
Andre has toured
the world entertaining the troops, performing with artists such as Harry
Secombe, Vera Lynn, Frankie Howerd, Jim Davidson and Frankie
Vaughan.Broadcast work has included appearances on BBC TV’s Pebble Mill at
One show playing with American artists Brook Benton, Nancy Wilson, Kay Star
and Buddy Greco, as well as numerous sessions with the BBC Radio Orchestra.
Andre toured for several years with Roger Whittaker and has also
undertaken extensive tours with Dean Martin, Bruce Forsythe, Shirley Bassey,
Buddy Greco,Vic Damone and the great Jack Jones.

Kenny Ball & Acker Bilk. Visiting teacher of jazz double bass and bass guitar at
Eton College and has tutored several hundred jazz workshops nationwide.
